Why Soy Wax?
Share
Honestly?
It's wonderful and different!

But on a serious note, if you're wondering why soy wax over the multitudes of waxes available, including popular paraffin wax, which is in approximately 90% of commercially bought candles (according to Google AI), it's simply because it was important to our founder that we use natural and responsibly-sourced ingredients to make our products!
To be able to say that what your candle is made of is plant-based and also utilised as a food product (hello tofu and soya milk) is such a flex!
So, How is Soy Wax Made?
Soy wax is made from soybean oil, which is created from soybeans that are harvested, broken down, and processed. The oil is then hydrogenated to make it suitable for use as a wax.
That, to us, is so cool, and makes soy wax a better purchase compared to store-bought traditional paraffin waxes, which are currently under scrutiny due to being a petroleum by-product. For anyone who’s health-conscious like us at Scent of Heaven, we know which kind of wax we'd rather have burning in our homes!
We combine our 100% soy wax-based products with phthalate and PEG-free scents and colourings because we're BIG on keeping things natural, sustainable, and responsible. Our wax melts are also embedded with botanicals to point back to to nature.
Head over to our candle and wax melt collections to experience the beauty of soy wax for yourself!
